Hypnos Beds embraces Red Tractor standards

No time for a snooze when an MF 1740 took centre stage on the Hypnos stand at the Bed Show to highlight the tie-up with its supplier HD Wool and the Red Tractor Food & Farming Assurance scheme.

On the face of it, tractors and mattresses may seem like strange bedfellows but this is just what brought an MF 1740 to the Telford International Centre in September!

The Bed Show saw the Massey Ferguson compact model flying the flag for the Red Tractor Food & Farming Assurance scheme and its new licensee, HD Wool who supply Hypnos beds.

Hypnos used the show to launch new mattresses, including the Wool Origins Collection, dedicated to new levels of comfort and material traceability. This includes the wool which goes into the products. Hypnos aims to create a new benchmark of standards by ensuring all the different materials that go into a bed are responsibly designed, sourced and managed.

HD Wool has been a Yorkshire wool merchant for five generations and its products are widely used in the areas of clothing, interiors, soft-furnishings, carpets, environmental, engineering and industrial end uses.

“This was certainly one of the most unusual situations where we’ve been asked to supply a tractor but the MF 1740 made sure that the Hypnos exhibit really stood out from the crowd,” says Lindsay Haddon, Massey Ferguson Advertising and Sales Promotion Manager. “Many thanks to Paddy Kennedy at MF dealer, Ross Farm Machinery’s Martley Depot who made sure the tractor was tucked in nicely for the Bed Show.”
